As part of our mission to serve and help the people, the following programs and activities have been undertaken:
RPDEV and the National Library of the Philippines hosted the launch of the book "FVR Through the Years, Part II" by veteran journalist Ben Cal at the National Library Building. The book narrates the highlights of the term of former Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos and shows his unique style of leadership and governance. The author, who covered FVR for more than 20 years, based the book on his news dispatches from 1992 to 1998.
Volume 9 of the collection of speeches of former President Fidel V. Ramos was launched on September 21, 2001 at the Anna and Washington Sycip Lobby of the National Museum. The book, entitled "The Continuing Revolution: Meeting the Challenges of Democracy and Poverty Reduction," marks the compilation of post presidency speeches of FVR from July 1998 to June 2001.
In line with its program to promote public service and good governance through education, RPDEV carries out a book donation project. The set of 50 books on Philippine history, policy studies, tourism, governance and economics that also embody the Ramos Presidency (1992-1998) has been donated to various recipients, including local and international institutions.
RPDEV, in cooperation with Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), launched the FVR-RPDEV Lecture Series at the Manila Polo Club on November 16, 1999. Mr. Reginald Chua, Editor in Chief of the Asian Wall Street Journal delivered the inaugural main lecture on the theme "The Philippines from a Regional Perspective".
