Other RPDEV Organized Delegations to International Conferences

On top of the Boao Forum for Asia and the Education Forum for Asia, RPDEV also organizes business delegations to other major international conferences such as the Annual CEO Forum and the BFA CEO Summit. RPDEV also organizes business and trade missions to other countries.

The Annual CEO Forum is the premier conference in Asia organized by Hong Kong based Businessweek. In November 2005, this event focused on Going Global – Reinventing for Today, Creating for Tomorrow and was held in Beijing. Keynote speakers included H.E. Kay Rala Zanana Gusmao, former US President George Bush Sr., former British Prime Minister John Major, former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad, and WTO Director General Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi. Some of the distinguished featured speakers were Sybase Chairman John Chen, BusinessWeek President and Publisher William Kupper, Malaysian Airlines Chairman Dr. Mohd. Munir bin Abdul Majid and Tony TanCaktiong , Chairman of Jollibee Foods Corp.

On the otherhand, the BFA CEO Summit held last year is the first CEO Summit organized by the Boao Forum for Asia as it firmly establishes itself as the leading forum in Asia for political, business and academic leaders to express and exchange viewpoints on the most pressing issues in Asia. Held in Shenzhen last November 19 – 21, 2005, delegates were joined by BFA Chairman Ramos, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke, Degussa AG Chairman Utz-Hellmuth Feltcht, SK Corporation Chairman Chey Tae Won.

In the past, RPDEV has also organized business trade missions to countries such as Hungary, Poland, Germany, Australia, Japan, China and Myanmar. These trade missions are usually co-organized with local chambers of commerce, the host countries’ embassies or consulates, or partner foundations such as the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
